In 2015, RadioBro released a 900MHz ISM tracker for use in ballooning. The tracking device broadcasts GPS packets in a custom format. Users us ground stations to listen for the packets. This telemetry allowed for payloads to be monitored and recovered. Other tools are also promoted, such as the SPOT Trace.
